
Arthur J. Mahoney, Jr.
Board Chair
Art, a certified business analyst, comes to the Small Business Development Center at Manatee Community College with a broad background of experience in the fields of marketing and business development which make him an excellent resource. He was president of a company that was voted ‘Best strategic marketing company’ in the Denver region for 2 years running and was one of the top 5 marketing agencies in the Denver market and built the agency from $600,000 annual billings to over $25 million. Art holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Rutgers University and attended Boston University’s Graduate School of Public Relations and Communication. Art is currently volunteering as a Branding Advisor with the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, on the Marketing Committee with the Sarasota Economic Development Corporation and as a Marketing Advisor with Sarasota’s Jewish Family and Children’s Service and the Senior Friendship Center. Art provides counseling services to businesses in the areas of marketing and necessary steps to start a business.
Linda Abromson
Vice Chair
Linda grew up in Portland, Maine and graduated from Tufts University in 1961 with a BS in mathematics. After marriage to husband, Joel, the birth of three children, and a short teaching career, she entered politics, running for and winning a seat on the Portland School Committee (then the Portland City Council) and finally Mayor of Portland. Along the way she also served on a variety of boards and commissions, including the United Way of Portland, the Portland Public Library, Portland Stage Company, Hadassah, Federation and the JCC of Portland. She also served on the national boards of the Women's division of UJA and the Regional Council of Governments. Linda was President of the NCJW Portland Section and the Greater Portland Transit District, and she was a driver for ITNPortland. She also was a four-time women's champion of the Riverside Women's Golf Association. After a failed bid for Congress in 1990, she retired from politics and was later a gubernatorial appointment to the Maine Human Rights Commission, which adjudicated about 40 cases of discrimination a month. Having vacationed in Sarasota every year since 1984, when Joel passed away in 2002 she became a snowbird. Linda now serves in Sarasota on the scholarship committee of NCJW and the granting committee of Federation.
Donna Dunio
Executive Director
Donna most recently served as Senior Director Resource Development for the American Red Cross Southwest Florida Chapter. Before her time with Red Cross, Dunio was Senior Vice President for Nelson Publishing in Nokomis, FL after a move from northeastern Pennsylvania where she served as the Executive Director for the United Churches of Northeastern Pennsylvania, one of the largest interfaith organizations in the northeast. She also has provided executive coaching, corporate training, and human resources and development consulting for her company, Leadership Solutions in Pennsylvania.
Dunio has advanced certifications in many leadership disciplines and has served on numerous boards and committees; most recently serving on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southwest Florida Chapter. The winner of over fifty community services awards, Dunio now lives in Sarasota with her husband Phil.
Judy Cahn
Treasurer
Judy earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and worked with J.C. Bradford & Co. in Nashville for 35 years, six years of which she was a partner. Judy now makes her home in Sarasota, Florida with her husband, Charles Cahn, II. Judy brings to the ITNSarasota Board extensive experience with non-profit boards. Currently Judy is the Chair of Jewish Family & Children's Service of Sarasota-Manatee, Inc. and is Secretary of the Vanderbilt University Hillel in Nashville, TN. Previously she held the following Board positions: Treasurer, National Council of Jewish Women -Sarasota/Manatee Section; American Jewish Committee, Sarasota Chapter; American Red Cross, Nashville, TN Chapter; Executive Committee, The Temple Ohabai Sholom; and Cystic Fibrosis, Nashville, TN Chapter.
Sue Ellen Addicott
Board Member
A graduate of The College of William and Mary, Sue has enjoyed a diverse range of positions requiring her skills in organization and management. For more than a decade, she was Director of Conferences with Educom, a Washington, DC-based non-profit consortium of colleges and universities concerned with the use of information technology in teaching and learning. In 1998, Sue Ellen and her husband Jerry moved to Sarasota, and she embarked on a short-lived "retirement." In 2007, she was inspired to create "Senior Moves," providing emotional support and logistical assistance for seniors and their families at the time of a move. In 2008, she began a weekly radio program, "Senior Savvy," and was joined in September 2008 by Teresah Arthur as her co-host. In April 2009, "Senior Savvy" moved from the Radio Ear Network on the internet to WTMY AM 1280 in Sarasota, and is heard weekly at noon on Saturdays. Sue Ellen was recently appointed to serve on the Advisory Council of the Area Agency on Aging and has a passionate interest in quality-of-life issues for seniors and their families.
Teresa K. Bowman, Esq.

Teresa is an associate attorney with the firm of Boyer & Jackson, P.A. and practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Long Term Care Planning, Probate, and Special Needs Trusts. Ms. Bowman is a member of NAELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Sarasota County Bar Association, The Manatee County Bar Association, the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and a member of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is active in FAWLS, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and serves as a member of the Board of Directors. Ms. Bowman attended The Florida State University in Tallahassee where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. In 2005 Ms. Bowman received her Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson College of Law with a concentration in Elder Law.

Scott is president of cPR – Carpenter Public Relations. Through a mindset of people as partners, rather than clients, Scott has built a litany of successful marketing PR campaigns for national accounts and emerging regional and state brands such as EAS, DeBartolo, Biolife and Florida Prepaid. The accolades for his effort, thinking and creativity in the field speak for themselves: In January 2010, Public Relations Society of America named him to its national judge's panel for the industry's most prestigious award, the Silver Anvil Award.. Through this honor, he became one of 10 professionals in the country to serve five consecutive years (2006-2010). Rose Chapman

Rose graduated from Fordham University in New York with a Masters in Social Work in 1977. She worked in the areas of Child Welfare, Medical Social Work and Mental Health Centers in New York prior to her move to Miami. In 1978 she went to work for Jewish Family Service in Miami as a Clinical Director from 1978 to 1993. In 1993 she moved to Sarasota as CEO of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Sarasota-Manatee. In addition, she is an adjunct Professor of Social Work at the University of South Florida.
Marilyn Harwell
Board Member
Marilyn earned a BA degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College, followed by a 20-year career as a publisher of business books in New York City. She relocated to Sarasota some 25 years ago with her husband, Ned, a Tampa native who missed the tarpon fishing. Marilyn currently serves on the Sarasota County Human Services Advisory Committee and the Selby Foundation Scholarship panel. She also is a member of the Jewish Family & Children's Service board, where she focused on publicity, marketing and branding, and a founding member and treasurer of Forum Truth. Marilyn was the first female president of her 731-unit condominium in Sarasota and co-president of the Brandies University National Women's Committee. She also was editor of both group's newsletters. Additionally, Marilyn was a founding director of the Wellness Community, a member of the Mote Marine Advisory Council, a member of the Reading Festival Steering Committee, served on the board of the Family Law Connection, and chaired the Women in Power luncheon for National Council of Jewish Women. In addition to her work with non-profits, Marilyn has been actively involved in national and local political campaigns.
Doug Heinlen

Doug was born and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Doug lived for 33 years in the New York metro area where he worked as a buyer at JCPenney’s national office in NYC for 20 years and then as sales manager for an import luggage company. Doug has been retired since 2001, living on Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL with his wife and daughter. Doug is the current Florida AARP State President and is a member of the State of Florida Financial Literacy Council, which is a nine-member council that reports directly to Florida CFO Alex Sink. He also is a State of Florida Team Member on The Governor's delegation to the National Governor's Association Policy Institute "Civic Engagement of Older Adults" project. This team reports to Department of Elder Affairs Secretary Doug Beach. Doug is active in AARP national as a Social Impact Workgroup member on the Economic Security for Older Adults Taskforce. He also holds various local volunteer positions, including AARP, serving as a member of the Sarasota County Senior Advisory Council and as a member of the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Senior Advisory Council . He enjoys RV travel and tagging along with his wife Mary on her Audubon bird watching trips.

Nicci has retooled Youthful Aging Home Health and the home health care delivery model, creating one of the nation's first, if not the first, home health care "boutique" practice. The boutique delivery model customizes a health and wellness service focusing on memory and mobility, the two most important dynamics in preserving independence. Caregivers support the health and wellness service while assisting with activities of daily living.
Leanore "Lee" Levine
Board Member
Lee was born in New York City, raised on Long Island, and moved to Sarasota in 1979. She earned her BS from NYU where she served as the first female president of the Student Council. Lee went on to earn her MS from Queens College and to complete advanced study at Hofstra University, Adelphi, and the University of Buffalo. Lee worked in the research and development department at Bell Telephone Laboratories; taught Home and Family Living in Hempstead, NY, and then served as district co-coordinator; and worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Making significant contributions to the community, Lee has served on the Executive Committee at Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Sarasota-Manatee, The Florida West Coast Symphony Association, Brandeis University National Women’s Committee, Unifem, Women’s Resource Center, the Women’s Legal Fund, the League of Women Voters-Manatee, Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation Women’s Division, and the Palm-Aire Country Club Women’s Golf Association. In addition, Lee served on the Sarasota Reading Festival Steering Committee, securing the volunteers for the festival for many years. She was a member of the Steering Committee for the One-Stop Homelessness Shelter in Manatee County and served as Chair for the WRC Today’s Women, NCJW Women in Power, and the FWCS Designer Showcase.
Nora Patterson
Board Member
Nora was elected to the Sarasota Board of County Commissioners in 1998 and have been re-elected in 2002 and 2006. Commissioner Patterson also represents the county and chairs the Sarasota County Tourist Development Council. She serves on the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Airport Advisory Board, the West Coast Inland Navigational District, and the Early Learning Coalition. In addition, she holds a seat on the Board of Directors of United Way, the Jewish Family and Children's Services and a member of the Tampa Bay Regional Transit Authority. Mrs. Patterson has been appointed to serve as a member of the Community and Economic Development Steering Committee of the National Association of Counties and currently is a member of the Property Tax Work Group of the Florida Association of Counties. Mrs. Patterson brings a diverse background to her office. A native of New York City, she has lived in Florida since the late 1960's. She attended Duke University and holds a BA in Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Florida. Her first job was as a teacher. In 1970, she and her husband John moved to Sarasota and became very active in the community, serving on boards of a number of civic organizations, while co-owning and operating a garden center and raising their daughter Kimberly. After selling her business several years later, Mrs. Patterson became a real estate broker/salesperson. In 1991, she was elected to the Sarasota City Commission and served two four-year terms. During her tenure, she held a seat on the Manasota League of Cities, which she chaired for two years, and she served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Florida League of Cities. Mrs. Patterson also served as Mayor of the City of Sarasota from 1994-95. She was appointed by the Governor and served two years on Florida's Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations from 1996-98. Mrs. Patterson and her husband John were awarded the 2005 She Knows Where She's Going Visionary Award by Girl's Inc. of Sarasota County. Mrs. Patterson was named in 2001 a Woman in Power for her leadership by the National Council of Jewish Women of Sarasota/Manatee. She was also chosen in 2003 as Siesta Key's Citizen of the Year by the Siesta Key Association.
Chris M. Pinckney

Chris is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch where he and his wife, Johanna Gustafsson, operate a wealth management practice for the benefit of affluent families and successful businesses. He holds an MBA as well as a Bachelor's degree in Finance from St. John Fisher College. Chris, a native of Rochester, NY, relocated to the west coast of Florida in 2005 where he lives with his wife Johanna and their daughter Zora. Chris enjoys taking an active role in the community where he serves as the President of The Trusted Professionals of Sarasota and is a mentor for two teenage girls. He is also an avid triathlete, marathon runner and downhill skier.
Thomas "Tom" W. Welsh, Jr.
Board Member
For 38 years, Tom was employed with the Federal Government, 28 of which was as an employee with the Department of the Army working with the logistical field, advancing through same at both domestic and foreign stations. For eight of those years, Tom was primarily a Department of Defense inter-service logistics representative. Tom retired from this service in 1979. Tom also retired in 1965 from the US Army Reserve after five years of active duty (World War II and Korea) and 16 years of National Guard and Army Reserve duty. Tom has had a lengthy career as a volunteer in the Sarasota community, primarily 30 year as a volunteer driver and 15 years as Treasurer and Director of FISH-Sarasota, recently retiring due to age prudence. Tom also has given many years of service to the administration, programs, and finance activities of four different churches. Tom participated in and the initial exploration of the feasibility of and community support for brining the ITN model to Sarasota County and has informally supported the establishment and implementation of ITNSarasota as s liaison with FISH and as a consultant to the ITNSarasota Executive Director.
